Ingredients
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ cup eggnog
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 30 Peppermint Candy Cane Kisses

Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- In a large bowl with an electric mixer beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined, about 1 minute
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating until combined and scraping down the edges as needed
- Add the vanilla and eggnog and beat to combine
- Add the baking powder, salt, mixed spice, and beat until combined
- Add the flour and beat until just combined
- Scoop into 1-1 ½ tablespoon sized cookie dough balls and place on parchment paper lined baking sheets. They batter will appear wetter than usual cookie dough
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. They will be puffed up and slightly golden
- Let them cool for 2 minutes and then press a peppermint candy cane Kiss into the center of each cookie. Leave to cool completely until the kiss is set firm
